Georgian Parliament Speaker holds talks with Luxembourg counterpart
Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili met with Claude Wiseler, President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Parliament reported.
Papuashvili thanked his Luxembourg counterpart for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity.
The sides noted that cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries is developing dynamically. They recalled a productive meeting held in Istanbul in April 2026 on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) General Assembly and highlighted the importance of Papuashvili’s bilateral official visit.
The sides discussed areas of bilateral cooperation, including developing business ties and cooperation in the tourism sector.
The meeting also addressed Georgia-EU relations. It was noted that Georgia is successfully fulfilling its obligations under the Association Agreement. The importance of restoring dialogue was also emphasized.
