Georgian Parliament joins Earth Hour campaign

The Georgian Parliament has joined the annual global environmental protection campaign Earth Hour by turning off lights in the building from 20:30 to 21:30 on March 28.

Earth Hour, observed on March 28, is a global environmental protection initiative observed for 20 consecutive years. Millions of individuals and thousands of organizations refuse to use electricity for one hour.

The campaign aims to raise public awareness of climate change issues and motivate ecologically responsible behavior.

The initiative started in 2007. Georgia joined the annual campaign for the 18th time this year.
