Georgian Parliament holds minute's silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II

Georgian Parliament on Friday observed a one-minute silence in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili called The Queen’s death “a great loss not only for the British people but also for the world community and Georgia.”

“I am sure that her name and heritage will remain in the memory of history and future generations for a long time,” the Speaker asserted.

Queen Elizabeth II, the UK’s longest-serving monarch, died on 8 September at Balmoral, aged 96, after reigning for 70 years.
