Georgian Parliament enforces yellow security level

On April 29, the Georgian Parliament announced additional security measures. The yellow security level will be in effect in the Georgian Parliament building.

The decision is based on Order No. 1/259/23 issued by the Georgian Parliament Speaker on September 4, 2023, which outlines security protocols for the Parliament Palace.

Access to the Parliament building will be restricted under the yellow security level, and only individuals invited by relevant structural units will be permitted to attend scheduled parliamentary events, including committee meetings.

No more than two accredited groups of TV broadcasters from each will be allowed in the building until the end of the parliamentary events (committee meetings).

The primary objective of these security measures is to ensure a safe and productive working environment within the Parliament.
