Georgian Parliament chairs GUAM PA
Georgian Parliament chaired the virtual summit of the Parliamentary Assembly of GUAM Organization for Democracy and Economic Development, a regional organization of four post-Soviet countries – Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova, on December 20-21.
Chairman of GUAM PA Giorgi Khelashvili informed his colleagues on the current situation across occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions, violation of human rights and Covid pandemic-related economic problems. Khelashvili stressed the significance of the Eastern Partnership platform and regional cooperation.
The session participants adopted a Communiqué on economic cooperation and regional security.
Moldovan Parliament will chair the GUAM PA in 2022.
