Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates Epiphany today, commemorating the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.

After the festive liturgy in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Tbilisi, a great water blessing ceremony will be held in the Cathedral yard by Patriarch Ilia II.

Epiphany, one of the 12 main Christian feasts, is also called the Feast of the Revelation of God.
