The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates Easter. The solemn Easter liturgies took place in the churches of Georgia.
Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II released traditional Easter Epistle. It was read to believers at the Sameba (Holy Trinity) Cathedral in Tbilisi.
The restriction on movement was in force from 11 pm to 4 am for one day, on Easter night. The Inter-Agency Coordination Council decided several days ago.
