Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and the National Bank President Koba Gvenetadze, held meetings with the representatives of the International Monetary Fund during the US visit.
The meetings emphasized cooperation in the direction of supporting the country’s macroeconomic stability and structural reforms. The sides focused on fiscal and monetary policy issues for 2022-2023 and the medium-term period.
It was stated that Georgia’s accomplishments, against the backdrop of the IMF’s revised forecast for global economic development, serve as a foundation for the nation to retain the favourable dynamics of future economic growth.
