Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated that Georgian MPs will have the opportunity to hold several meetings in Washington.

According to Botchorishvili, the visit is particularly important because there has been a gap in relations between the Georgian Parliament and the United States Congress.

“Some time has passed since there has been no relations between the Georgian Parliament and the United States Congress. Therefore, the visit of Georgian MPs to the United States is important, because Georgian MPs, led by the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, will have the opportunity to hold several meetings in Washington to discuss Georgia–United States relations and how we envision these relations in the future,” the Minister said.

The delegation of Georgian MPs, headed by Nikoloz Samkharadze, will attend the Summit of the Alliance of Sovereign Nations in the United States at the invitation of Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna.
