Georgian Minister of Culture meets Slovak counterpart on official visit
Within the framework of a working visit to the Slovak Republic, the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Tinatin Rukhadze, met with the Minister of Culture of Slovakia, Martina Šimkovićová. The Ministry of Culture reports.
According to the ministry, the parties discussed the possibilities of deepening relations between the Republics of Georgia and Slovakia and discussed the prospects of signing a memorandum of cooperation between the two countries.
Attention was paid to the areas of theatre, cinema, folklore and museums. They also discussed the issue of holding the Days of Culture of Georgia and Slovakia, which will contribute to the strengthening of cultural ties between the two countries. The meeting discussed the possibilities of implementing bilateral youth projects.
Tinatin Rukhadze, on behalf of Georgia, congratulated the Slovak hosts on the declaration of the city of Trenčín as the European Capital of Culture. In turn, the Minister of Culture of the Slovak Republic expressed readiness to deepen multilateral cooperation with Georgia in the field of culture.
“We had a fruitful meeting. We discussed interesting projects that will contribute to the deepening of relations between Georgia and Slovakia. We are thinking of preparing a memorandum that will serve to strengthen cooperation in various fields of culture. Both sides expressed their readiness to implement exchange projects,” said Tinatin Rukhadze after the meeting.
