Georgian military earns silver medal in Cambrian Patrol Exercise

Georgian Defence Forces personnel won a silver medal in the British-hosted Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2022.

According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, a military contingent from the J-2 Intelligence Department and the Ranger Battalion of the Special Operations Forces took part in the training.

The Georgian military performed ten reconnaissance missions across a 70-kilometre span in 48 hours. The competition, which took place in the mountainous terrain of North Wales, drew teams from 30 different countries.

Since 1959, the British Army has held the Exercise Cambrian Patrol regularly. It strives to improve intelligence units’ operational capability. Georgia took part in the Cambrian Patrol for the seventh time.
