Georgian judoka Ilia Sulamanidze won a gold medal at the 2022 Judo Grand Slam Tel Aviv.

He defeated his rival from the Netherlands, Michael Korrel. Georgian judoka beat Zelim Kotsoiev of Azerbaijan in the semifinal in the 100 kg weight category.

Six judokas represented the Georgian national team on the final day of the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv.
