Georgian Interior Minister visits law enforcement institutions in Uzbekistan
Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze visited the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent City Police Department, where he got acquainted with their infrastructure and operational activities.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, the delegation was hosted at the Academy by its head, Rustam Khatamov, who provided detailed information on ongoing reforms in police education, as well as the institution’s structure and functions.
Geladze emphasized the importance of modern police education and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in this field.
During his visit to the Tashkent City Police Department, the Georgian Interior Minister was briefed on the unit’s operational specifics, including the functions of the Unified Operations Management Center, which coordinates policing activities in the capital.
