Georgian Interior Minister meets British Ambassador

Georgian Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri on Friday met with British Ambassador to Georgia Mark Clayton, discussing the successful partnership between Georgia and the United Kingdom within the framework of Euro-Atlantic cooperation.

According to the Ministry’s press office, the discussion emphasized the necessity of bolstering Black Sea security, as well as port visits by NATO Naval Forces in Georgian territorial waters under bilateral cooperation. Furthermore, the continuous successful collaboration between the parties in combating cybercrime was underscored.

The Ambassador praised the signing of the Agreement between Georgia and the United Kingdom on Readmission of Persons Living Without a Permit, which would aid in the successful combat of illegal migration.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his active participation in the Ministry’s capacity building.
