Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia held a meeting with Viktor Orban, Prime Minister of Hungary who is currently the President of the Council of the European Union.

The Head of Government of Georgia noted that EU integration is a key priority of Georgia’s foreign policy. He thanked Prime Minister Orban for Hungary’s support on the path to Euro-integration, highlighting Hungary’s significant role in Georgia’s candidacy process.

They addressed specific initiatives for cooperation in various sectors, including the further expansion of trade and economic ties. The importance of developing trade and economic relations with Hungary was stressed, along with the significance of agreements on investment cooperation.

The conversation touched on joint projects undertaken by Georgia and Hungary, highlighting the importance of the Black Sea Submarine Electricity Cable and noting that similar projects will continue to receive significant attention in the future.
