Georgian gov't waives 2021 property tax for tourism sector

The tourism industry will be fully exempt from 2021 property tax, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced at a Monday Cabinet meeting.

The decision came after the government studied the sector, saying the coronavirus pandemic affected it the most, including the hotel and restaurant industry, “therefore this sector will no longer pay property tax.”
