By decision of the Georgian government, athletes representing Georgia at the Winter Olympic Games will receive cash awards for winning medals.
Under the government’s resolution — mirroring the system used for the Summer Olympics — the prize for a gold medal is set at 1 million GEL, 500,000 GEL for silver, and 300,000 GEL for bronze.
At the 2026 Winter Olympics, Georgian athletes will compete in figure skating and alpine skiing.
