Georgian freestyle wrestler qualifies for finals at Paris Olympics

Geno Petriashvili, Georgian heavyweight freestyle wrestler (125 kg) has qualified for the finals of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Geno Petriashvili defeated Giorgi Meshvildishvili from Azerbaijan with a score of 7:0 and will face Amir Hossein Zare, an Iranian freestyle wrestler to compete for the Gold medal in the finals.

Geno Petriashvili is the European champion in 2016 and 2020 and the world champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019, as well as a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the silver medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
