Georgian Foreign Ministry – Georgia is an ally and partner to the US according to National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year
The House Armed Services Committee released its draft of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for the 2020 fiscal year.
The committee’s summary states that the proposed bill focuses on addressing threats to the United States by authorizing a defense system that is “inclusive, accountable, and responsible in the management of its resources.”
Based on the information of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgia together with the Black Sea and Baltic countries is described as the ally and partner of the United States.
According to NDAA, the US maintains a firm and unwavering strategic partnership with Georgia and will continue assisting Georgia in security sphere including providing the country with lethal defense possibilities that will strengthen Georgia’s defense capabilities to improve Georgia’s compatibility with NATO forces.
