Georgian FM: Worrying trend in media, I wish Trump success in fight for truth

“I wish Donald Trump success in his fight for the truth,” Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, declared.

According to the Minister, it is concerning when even highly reputable media outlets spread false information.

“It is worrying when a trend has developed among well-respected media outlets to provide information to the public that is not true. This is a problem faced not only by Georgia. The statement of the President of the United States once again demonstrates the significant challenges the international community faces regarding media, information dissemination, and the delivery of truth to the public,” she added.

For context, US President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against the BBC, accusing the broadcaster of “intentionally, maliciously, and deceptively doctoring his speech.”
