Georgian FM: We maintain contacts with all who wish to engage with Georgia, defending our national interests at every turn
“Our country is at the center of events unfolding around us. Therefore, the pragmatic and nationally focused work of our diplomatic service is of great importance,” said Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili.
Botchorishvili emphasized the importance of conveying Georgia’s actions and messages accurately to the international community.
“Today, we concluded the Conference of Ambassadors of Georgia. It was an excellent opportunity to review the past year, assess the geopolitical environment, and discuss future steps for our diplomatic service in 2026. The region around our country remains unpredictable, making the work of our diplomats critical in defending national interests. Despite limited resources, the Georgian diplomatic service has demonstrated the strength needed to protect our country on the international stage.
Considering the geopolitical and internal challenges faced this year, the fact that Georgia has maintained peace, achieved stable economic development, and engaged effectively with international partners shows that 2025 was a successful year.
We maintain contacts with all who wish to engage with Georgia, defending our national interests at every turn, and we will continue to do so in accordance with our country’s priorities,” Botchorishvili added.
