Georgian FM to address UN Human Rights Council

The Georgian Foreign Minister, Ilia Darchiashvili, will attend the 55th session of the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council on February 26.

The Minister will address the audience and discuss Georgia’s 2022-2030 national human rights protection strategy, outlining efforts and steps taken to safeguard the rights of various groups of the population.

He will focus on the human rights and humanitarian situation in the occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions. During his visit to Geneva, Darchiashvili will hold meetings with the UN Human Rights Council President, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and Foreign Ministers.
