Georgian FM tells German colleague: EU flag lies in everyone's heart

“The flag of the European Union flies not only at the protest rallies but in everyone’s heart because the EU is our people’s historic choice,” Ilia Darchiashvili, Georgian Foreign Minister told his German colleague Annalena Baerbock at the joint press conference.

Georgian FM thanked his German counterpart for supportive messages.

“The EU flag flies not only at the protest rallies but in everyone’s heart because the EU is the historic and civilized choice of our country and our people, and we very much hope on your strong support in that direction,” Ilia Darchiashvili said, adding the German FM’s visit was ” very significant, essential and timely.”

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is paying her first official visit to Georgia.
