Georgian FM: PM reaffirms Georgia's solidarity and ongoing support for Ukraine

“Today’s conference underscores the unity and solidarity of the international community with Ukraine and its people,” Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili told journalists in Berlin.

Darchiashvili highlighted the significance of the forum being hosted in Germany under Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s leadership, with the President of Ukraine also in attendance.

“It is significant that the Prime Minister of Georgia is in Berlin, participating in this important event with other colleagues. This underscores the Prime Minister and our country’s commitment to supporting Ukraine and its people. The presence of the Georgian delegation, led by the Prime Minister, is a clear demonstration of Georgia’s strong support for Ukraine.

The event was notably large-scale, featuring a round table with Chancellor Scholz and the President of Ukraine, attended by about ten prime ministers and presidents from various countries, including the Prime Minister of Georgia.

During the round table, the Prime Minister spoke about the assistance that Georgia had provided Ukraine since the beginning of the war. This gathering offered another opportunity to express our solidarity with Ukraine and discuss the ongoing support we continue to provide to help the Ukrainian people,” said Ilia Darchiashvili.
