Georgian FM: Moldova must decide its path, Georgian people want our country to be strong, independent and sovereign
“First of all, it is up to the Moldovan people to decide what kind of president they want to have, what direction they will take their country, but one thing is for sure, an important element that is essential for the existence of a state, which is called sovereignty, has been relegated to the background in this case,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili.
According to the Minister, it is strange when the head of state makes a statement regarding the country’s sovereignty, such as the one made by Maia Sandu.
“The President of Moldova sees the interests of her country not as an independent sovereign country, but as part of another country. Once again, it is up to the Moldovan people to decide how they will lead their country. We know one thing – Georgia is a sovereign country, the Georgian people want our country to be strong, independent and sovereign. That is why the Georgian people are making the choice they are making. This choice is precisely proof that the Georgian people have the wisdom to have a government that strengthens the country’s independence and sovereignty,” Botchorishvili said.
