The discussion focused on Georgia’s successful collaboration with the UN High Commissioner’s Office and the essential projects to improve the conditions of IDPs. The government’s policy to enhance IDPs’ social and humanitarian situation was praised.
The High Commissioner positively assessed the Georgian government’s efforts to receive Ukrainian refugees, which is critical given the world’s severe humanitarian consequences due to the war in Ukraine.
The parties addressed the present situation in Georgia’s occupied regions and emphasized the importance of the UN in peace policy implementation.
