Georgian FM meets Iranian colleague in Davos

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, held an introductory meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The parties talked about “good neighbourly relations” between Georgia and Iran, according to the Georgian MFA.

“The ministers reviewed the issues related to bilateral relations, including trade and economic ties between the countries, the positive potential of intensifying people-to-people contacts and cooperation in the field of culture, education, and tourism.

The conversation also touched on the regional challenges and the need for sustainable and stable development of the region,” reads the MFA’s statement.
