Georgian FM meets his Turkish counterpart

Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, within the framework of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

The two FMs reviewed strategic partnership-related issues between the countries. They stressed the situation in the region and the role of Georgia and Turkey in ensuring peace and stable development.

The FMs pledged to deepen strategic partnership in all directions and to work intensively on the exchange of high-level visits.

Georgian delegation, led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, participates in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
