Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met his Latvian counterpart Baiba Braže within the framework of the events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the EU Enlargement in 2004, organized by the Belgian Presidency.
At the meeting, the two ministers reviewed the ongoing processes in the region and security environment. The parties focused on the EU enlargement-related issues, positively assessing the invitation of the countries of the enlargement package to the General Affairs Council for the first time this year.
Georgian and Latvian Foreign Ministers reconfirmed their readiness for future cooperation.
