The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, held a farewell meeting with Mark Clayton, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia.
“During the meeting, both parties highlighted the strategic partnership between their countries and underscored the significance of the “Wardrop Strategic Dialogue” in enhancing intensive political dialogue and sectoral cooperation.
The ambassador expressed gratitude to the minister for the productive collaboration and highlighted the close relations between Great Britain and Georgia.
The British diplomat reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s strong support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and European aspirations.
The parties also acknowledged Georgia’s progress towards European integration, noting significant steps and the successful implementation of complex reforms.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the minister thanked the ambassador for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors,” the Foreign Ministry reported.
