Georgian FM: Georgia remains committed to upholding international norms and supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty
Georgia remains committed to upholding international norms and supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili told journalists in The Hague.
According to Botchorishvili, Georgia has consistently maintained this position.
“We are continuing the long-standing policy of support. It is important for us to be here today, as this platform allows us to remind the international community of our challenges and to advocate for justice. Georgia seeks to protect the rights of those affected by occupation through legal means. We continue to emphasize our support for the peaceful resolution of conflicts and for international efforts aimed at achieving that goal. This platform allows us to contribute to mechanisms that serve the peaceful resolution of conflicts,” Botchorishvili said.
For context, under the auspices of the Council of Europe, an International Complaints Commission for Ukraine was established. Georgia’s Foreign Minister signed the related convention and delivered a speech at the event.
