Georgian FM commits to fostering dynamic relationships with strategic partners
“We are doing everything within our responsibility to advance Georgia towards European integration,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili told Georgian journalists in Berlin, where he is attending a Ukraine Recovery Conference.
According to Darchiashvili, the recent adoption of all remaining legislative packages by the Georgian Parliament in the third reading reflects the responsibility and commitment of the Georgian government.
“Georgia firmly and resolutely stands on the path of European integration,” he added.
Darchiashvili also addressed the current relations between Georgia and the United States. He emphasized that it is a strategic interest of the Georgian government to restore Georgian-American bilateral relations to their previous level.
“We hope that bilateral relations will normalize soon and we continue to develop our friendly relations,” Darchiashvili stated.
