Georgian FM: Agreement between Georgia and Saudi Arabia to enhanced bilateral cooperation
The Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili, highlighted the significance of the agreement on an intergovernmental coordination council between Georgia and Saudi Arabia.
He emphasized that the agreement would elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Darchiashvili mentioned that various ministries would be involved in implementing the agreement, providing a fresh impetus to the relations between the two countries.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan also expressed optimism, stating that the “agreement marks an important milestone, offering a genuine opportunity to enhance and activate cooperation between the nations”.
Darchiashvili extended an invitation to his Saudi counterpart to visit Georgia, with plans for the inaugural meeting of the intergovernmental commission to take place in Georgia, followed by annual meetings alternating between Saudi Arabia and Georgia.
