Georgian financial sector to be sustainable despite Russia-Ukraine war, Committee Chair says

Irakli Kovzanadze, the Chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, met with the representatives of the Georgian Banking Association, Alexandre Dzneladze and Giorgi Bagrationi.

Meeting discussed the current situation in the banking and financial sector. Talks focused on macroeconomic and monetary stability, inflation, Lari exchange rate, financial system stability, and the implementation of international sanctions.

According to Irakli Kovzanadze, the Georgian financial sector is sustainable and responds adequately to the challenges despite the Russia-Ukraine war.

“Budget and Finance Committee is ready to support and consider all initiatives making the financial and banking sector even more sustainable,” Committee Chair declared.
