Georgian Embassy issues statement on forest fire in Greece

The Embassy of Georgia has issued a statement addressing Georgian citizens concerning the ongoing forest fire in the Attica region of Greece. The embassy is in constant communication with the Greek Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection to monitor the situation.

“The embassy operates a 24-hour hotline (+306952220000) for assistance, which has not yet received any calls from Georgian citizens.

We urge Georgian nationals to follow any instructions or evacuation orders issued by Greek authorities to ensure our safety,” the statement reads

Additionally, the statement provides emergency contact numbers for essential services in Greece, including the Police (100), Fire Service (199), and Ambulance (166). The embassy assures that it will keep citizens informed with updated information as needed.
