Georgian Education Minister Giorgi Amilakhvari on Monday hosted US Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan, cultural attaché of the US embassy, Christopher Anderson, and USAID program manager, Marina Kutateladze. The parties reviewed US-supported projects in education and science and discussed future plans.
According to the Ministry’s press office, Giorgi Amilakhvari thanked Kelly Degnan for the US assistance to improve the Georgian education system and noted that the US has been implementing large-scale initiatives in various directions in Georgia for many years.
On her part, Kelly Degnan personally thanked Giorgi Amilakhvari and the Ministry staff “for their exemplary cooperation,” pledging the US will continue to support the growth of Georgia’s educational system.
