Georgian Economy Minister meets Azerbaijani President

Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili Friday met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss important issues of strategic cooperation between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The discussion topics included energy, transport, tourism, communications, investment and other sectors.

During the meeting, Davitashvili stressed the “centuries-old traditions of good neighbourhood” between the two countries, noting that “high-level strategic and good neighbourly relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan will be further strengthened for the benefit of our peoples and countries.”

Economy Minister continued: “The cooperation between the two countries is really strategic, and Azerbaijan is one of our main economic partners. Our cooperation with this country includes many important projects of not only regional, but also international significance.”
