Georgian Defense Minister visits Hungary

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze is visiting Budapest. He opened Resilience and Resistance Conference together with his Hungarian counterpart Tibor Benkő on November 18.

In his speech, Juansher Burchuladze highlighted the importance of resilience and resistance in the light of existing security challenges, according to the Defense Ministry.

Minister Burchuladze stressed that military, civilian and international efforts all play an important role in enhancing Georgia’s resilience and resistance capacities.

The Minister claimed that Georgia Defense and Deterrence Enhancement Initiative, recently signed with the U.S., will further strengthen the country’s defence capacities and promo increasing interoperability with NATO, according to the Defense Ministry report.

The conference is organized by the U.S. and Hungarian special operations commands.

The delegation of the Georgian Defense Ministry then visited Heroes Square where they laid a wreath at the memorial of heroes.
