Georgian Defense Minister to attend SEDM in Sofia

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze has left for Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital, to participate in the South-Eastern Europe Defence Ministerial (SEDM), slated for 16-18 November, the Defense Ministry reported on Wednesday.

On the SEDM sidelines, Burchuladze will discuss issues of bilateral cooperation with his Bulgarian and Romanian colleagues.

The ministerial, organized by Bulgaria within the Bulgarian Chairmanship of the SEDM Process, will focus on the regional challenges, Russia’s war in Ukraine and issues of mutual cooperation.

Georgia joined SEDM on 10 September 2015 and hosted the ministerial for the first time in 2017.
