Georgian Defense Minister meets his Swedish counterpart

Juansher Burchuladze, Georgian Defense Minister, is on a visit to the Kingdom of Sweden. Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson, together with Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Civil Defence, hosted his Georgian counterpart.

The parties discussed regional security challenges, cooperation with NATO, and bilateral relationship issues.

Juansher Burchuladze thanked the Swedish side for the political and practical support and contribution to the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia. He underscored the role of Sweden, a chair of the European Union Council, in Georgia’s EU integration aspirations.

At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation issues and plans and agreed to intensify the bilateral relations.
