Georgian Defense Minister attends meeting of Ukraine’s contact group

Georgian Defence Minister Juansher Burchuladze attended the meeting of Ukraine’s contact group in Ramstein format. The meeting, organized by the US Department of Defence, was held at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.

According to the Ministry, the meeting focuses on the situation created as a result of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and the needs of the country, as well as the security challenges facing US allies and partners. Defence ministers and high-ranking military personnel from over 50 countries are participating in the meeting.

Within the framework of his visit to Brussels, Georgian Defence Minister met the NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg. Juansher Burchuladze will also meet the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer to discuss deepening practical cooperation between NATO and Georgia.
