Georgian coast is well-protected, Georgian Greens Chair says

Nino Chhobadze, the chair of the Georgian Greens – Friends of the Earth, reassured viewers that the country’s coast is well-protected in her interview with the GPB First Channel’s Dgis Tema [Topic of the Day] program.

Chhobadze emphasized that this is not just a verbal claim, as analytical assessments indicate that the sea along the Georgian coast remains clean. She further explained that the pollution would have to pass through Turkey’s coast before potentially reaching Georgian waters.

Chhobadze answered the question regarding the risk concerning harmful substances, heavy metals, and toxins potentially reaching the Black Sea following the destruction of the Kakhovka dam.
