Georgian citizen killed in Sydney stabbing, MFA says

The Georgian Foreign Ministry (MFA) reported on Sunday that a Georgian citizen was among the six people killed by a knifeman in Sydney mall.

“We offer our condolences to the family of the deceased and also to the government and people of Australia for the loss of life in this incident,” the statement said.

The Embassy noted that it has made contact with the deceased’s family members and that appropriate processes are being followed.

Six people were fatally stabbed and at least eight people were injured by a knifeman, who was shot dead by a senior police officer.
