Vladimer Tsabadze, who was illegally detained by the Russian occupying forces near the village of Dirbi in Kareli Municipality has been freed, the State Security Service of Georgia (SSSG) said on Monday.
According to the agency, the hotline operated by the EU Monitoring Mission had been activated and International partners and the co-chairs of the Geneva International Discussions were immediately informed of the incident.
The SSSG underscored that “the responsibility for all destructive acts committed in the occupied territories of Georgia and along the occupation line lies with the occupying power. The central government, together with international partners, continues to work actively to release all citizens of Georgia who are illegally imprisoned in the occupied territories.”
