A special commission has selected Supreme Court judge Ketevan Tsintsadze for membership in the Council of Europe’s European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) and Consultative Council of European Judges (CCJE), based on Georgia’s quota.
According to the Georgian Ministry of Justice, there was a two-stage competition to choose the candidate.
CEPEJ works to improve the effectiveness and functioning of the justice systems in the countries. CCJE judges work to promote the rule of law and enforce European standards.
