Georgian basketball team beats Iceland in Reykjavik

Georgia and Iceland held a match in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 European Qualifiers. The Georgian basketball team, coached by Ilias Zouros defeated Iceland in Reykjavik with the score 88:85 and pushed closer to the finals.

The Spanish championship’s Giorgi Shermadini and Tad McFadden travelled to Iceland, followed by skilled players Giorgi Tsintsadze and Duda Sanadze, who arrived from Tbilisi with others.

Tornike Shengelia, who played against Milan in the EuroLeague on November 9, joined the Georgian national team in Reykjavik on November 10.
