Georgian basketball fans depart for EuroBasket 2025 on charter flight
A special charter flight carrying Georgian fans to support the national basketball team at the 42nd European Basketball Championship, EuroBasket 2025, departed Tbilisi International Airport for Riga at 07:00 this morning, the United Airports of Georgia announced.
According to the Association, all tickets for the subsidized flight, sold through the tkt.ge platform, were sold out yesterday. Passenger registration at both Tbilisi and Riga airports is being managed by United Airports staff.
The flight was organized specifically for today’s Round of 16 match between Georgia and France, scheduled for 16:15 Tbilisi time. Only passengers who presented tickets to the EuroBasket 2025 game at Tbilisi International Airport were eligible to board.
A return charter flight from Riga to Tbilisi, also subsidized by the United Airports of Georgia, will operate tomorrow, bringing fans back home.
