According to the government’s press office, the Georgian side procured the building in 2024. For the first time, the country has an embassy that belongs to Georgia in Armenia. It is located in the city’s central section featuring other diplomatic missions. The new facility includes a reception for citizens and office and conference spaces.

The building’s design takes into account ethnic and cultural elements. The new building is the 15th facility of this kind to be owned by Georgia.
