Minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Protection Mikheil Sarjveladze met with the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Arsen Torosyan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the sides discussed prospects for deepening cooperation between the two countries in the social and labour spheres, ongoing reforms, and opportunities for new joint initiatives.
“Mikheil Sarjveladze emphasized the existing partnership between the countries and noted that cooperation between Georgia and Armenia is continuously developing. According to the Minister, today’s meeting lays the foundation for deeper and more intensive cooperation.
For his part, Arsen Torosyan noted that Georgia and Armenia share many common goals and priorities in strengthening social protection and services. The Armenian Minister also expressed interest in Georgia’s ongoing reforms, particularly in the development of social policy, services for people with disabilities, and pension systems.
During the meeting, the parties expressed readiness to strengthen coordination and cooperation in priority areas.
