Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze and Azerbaijani counterpart Zakir Husanov met in Baku.
During the official visit, Georgian Defense Minister thanked his Azerbaijani colleague for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty. The sides stressed the significance of bilateral and multilateral international cooperation intensification to cope with regional threats and challenges.
The ministers noted that friendly relations between the two countries played a crucial role in the development of ties between Georgia and Azerbaijan. The parties exchanged views on the prospects for the development of military cooperation, joint military exercises, organization of working meetings, and other issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, Juansher Burchuladze and Zakir Husanov signed the bilateral cooperation plan for 2022.
